Preparation and cooking time:

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes

Serving size: 2 people

Ingredients:

4 pieces of Alaska Sockeye salmon (approximately 150g/piece)

1 onion, finely chopped

2-3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

200g fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup milk

1 tablespoon butter

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup white wine

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions:

First, prepare the mushroom sauce. Cook the mushrooms until they are tender and the liquid has evaporated, then mix them with the heavy cream and milk. Set the mushroom sauce aside.

Next, marinate the Alaska Sockeye salmon with 1/4 cup of white wine, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper for 15 minutes.

After marinating, pan-sear the salmon in olive oil. If the salmon is too thick, you can cut it into 2 pieces to ensure even cooking. Sear each side for about 3-4 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and golden brown.

While the salmon is cooking, melt the butter in a separate pan and sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

Then, add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and sauté them with the onions and garlic.

Finally, add the mushroom sauce to the pan and stir well. Add the pan-seared salmon to the pan and coat it with the sauce for about 1 minute.

You can garnish with some fresh herbs and white pepper.
